The Club House

Crane Creek Country Club was established over half a century ago by a group of local golf enthusiasts. Originally called Highlands Country Club, Crane Creek was adopted in time for its grand opening in 1963. The original course layout was designed by golf course architect Bob Baldock, with recent and current enhancements by award-winning architect David Druzisky. 

Before the clubhouse was constructed, charter members gathered in a nearby Cold War–era bomb shelter, where camaraderie, storytelling, and laughter helped shape the club’s early culture. Many of those stories continue to be shared and remembered today, reinforcing the deep sense of community that has always defined Crane Creek.

Today, Crane Creek remains a private, neighborhood club nestled in the Boise foothills, renowned for its tight fairways, swift greens, and the distinctive canyon that winds through the back nine. The 18-hole championship course features multiple tee options for players of every ability, treelined bent-grass fairways, strategic bunkering, and meticulously maintained playing conditions that deliver a rewarding challenge for seasoned golfers and an enjoyable experience for all.

Beyond the course, Crane Creek offers an exceptional and well-rounded club experience. The Landing — the club’s new restaurant and health club — elevates leisure and recreation with upscale dining, wellness amenities, and indoor golf simulators, all just steps from the clubhouse. Tennis has been part of the club’s identity since the 1960s, with members enjoying five outdoor courts set against the foothills and five heated, brightly lit indoor courts. The thriving racquet sports community also includes a new sports court facility featuring indoor pickleball courts and convertible space for basketball.

Crane Creek remains vibrant year-round, with members coming together for recreation, connection, and shared traditions — even through the winter months. Long recognized as the premier country club in the Treasure Valley, Crane Creek continues to invest in its people, facilities, and amenities to ensure an exceptional experience for generations to come.
